Greetings on this Tuesday~I pray this finds you abiding and resting in the Shadow on the Most High God. You'll never believe what our youngest and I did last night(hint-it is something I never did in the 60's)-give up? Well, my girl decided she wanted to tie-dye some t-shirts for her girls bed shirts. She asked me why I never did it back in the day and I can't honestly say except I don't think I ever cared for the look, even back then. I did however batik fabric and loved doing that. After having a wonderful light Spinach-Strawberry salad we got to work and it was quite humorous as well as fun. It should be interesting to see how they turn out once they are washed. Today I hope to finish making the binding for the quilt I'm giving away to a very special someone. I will post photos after the fact-don't want to ruin a surprise. Hubby and I may be painting this afternoon when he gets back from golf.
This morning I put on some of my favorite praise music. Do you ever do that? I can tell you it is the very best way to start a day! As the music played I also opened up the word to Psalms-I absolutely love going through them. Words from a song kept echoing through my mind-
"The Lord reigns, let the earth rejoice". I decided to share some of the verses I found first and then the lyrics to one of my favorite songs, in fact it is listed on my playlist.
"But as for me, I shall sing of Thy strength; Yes, I shall joyfully sing of Thy lovingkindness in the morning, For Thou hast been my stronghold, And a refuge in the day of my distress.
O my strength, I will sing praises to Thee; For God is my stronghold, the God who shows me lovingkindness." Ps 59:16,17
"O God, Thou are my God; I shall seek Thee earnestly; My soul thirsts for Thee, my flesh yearns for Thee, In a dry and weary land where there is no water. Thus I have beheld Thee in the sanctuary, To see Thy power and Thy Glory."Ps 63:1,2
"But as for me, I will hope continually, And will praise Thee yet more and more. My mouth shall tell of Thy righteousness, And of Thy salvation all day long; For I do not know the sum of them. I will come with the mighty deeds of the Lord God; I will make mention of Thy righteousness, Thine along."Ps.71:14-16

Lastly here is one of my favorite songs-if you have audio on your 'puter it is the second song on my playlist-listen and enjoy.

I Belong by Kathryn Scott

Not angels, nor demons, no power on earth or heaven
Not distance, nor danger, no trouble now or ever
Nothing can take me from your love
I belong, I belong to you
Not hardship, nor hunger, no pain or depth of sorrow
Not weakness, nor failure, no broken dream or promise.

Have a day walking steadfastly in His presence!
Noreen

  2. How much fun! I did a few shirts with my girls when they were young. Believe it or not Jen still uses hers to sleep in. Can't wait to see the pics of both the shirts and the quilt.

I must say there isn't anything better than some praise music!!!

  4. Sounds like fun...tie-dying...my daughter has done that, and I did, but it was in the 70's for art class.
Love the words to the song and doesn't praise music just lift your spirit?

  5. Whew! I thought you were going to say you smoked pot. That's something people did in the 60's. LOL!

I'm a hippie at heart. Don't do the drugs, just like the flower power and Jesus love.

    Peace!

  11. Hi Noreen,
Lovely post as always. Thanks for coming by yesterday, glad you liked the pumpkin butter recipe. We think t is delish!!
We are doing well....trying our best to be patient. The Lord has clearly told us a number of times not to use a job recruiter, but Monday, 3 called and another one yesterday. It is hard not to respond to them, I must say!! But but told hubby the Lord probably gave him a A+ for obedience cause I feel it is clearly a test.
I am feeling much better which is such a blessing, cause when you aren't feeling good, things tend to
wear on you more than usual.
Think we might venture out for some
    fun today, if possible!!
Have a good rest of the week hon,
Always good to hear from you.
    Blessings, Nellie
