Good morning to you. What a glorious day it is and how blessed we are to live in such an incredible world of beauty. Today's TT post is on Grace and it is so fitting to be this topic, for God's grace continues to shower down on me and I'm so thankful for it.
Today I'm thankful for the body of Christ, the mighty and faithful prayer warriors I've gotten to know through blogland. I am thankful for all of you who lifted me up in prayer yesterday and are faithfully holding me before the throne.
I am thankful for painting and how much hubby and I are getting done as well as the exercise it gives us.
I am thankful for the new specialist I saw yesterday concerning my on-going problems with my liver. I am thankful he wasn't a doctor who wanted to take out my gall bladder just because I don't need it. I am thankful for tests-yes more blood tests and an ultrasound that are tools to determine what is going on with me. Mostly, I am thankful for my God, the Ultimate Physician and Healer, who is not constrained by human limitations. I am confident that He who began a good work in me will see it through to completion and nothing can separate me from His love and grace.
I am thankful for grace and peace when facing unknowns, for a mind stayed on Him is the only way to deal with the uncertainty of life.
I am so thankful for my hubby and our family; I am thankful that our girls & their families are kidnapping us later this month for a few days of fun in our old state.
Most of all, I am thankful for the blood of the Lamb that was slain for me and you.
How about you, do you have lots to be thankful for?

So much to be thankful for...when it comes to health I'm always so thankful that He is the Great Physician! The spoken words of man need not bind me in fear because He is able to do anything. Praying fresh revelation through the doctors of what is going on with your health...
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful list you have here Noreen. And your right of course. Sometimes I don't think we think to be grateful for doctors, blood tests, ultra sounds and scans...and yet what wonderful tools these are to help us. Praying you get some answers. And yay to getting to visit with your kids in your old state. Soo much to be thankful for huh? Have a wonderful day...HUGS, Debbie
ReplyDeleteI love your thankful heart Noreen. How wonderful to return to CA for a visit. Enjoy your time away. I had a ball at my niece's wedding this past weekend in FL. I hadn't spent time with my family in over two years!!!

ReplyDeletehope you find out soon what it has to say....

Precious Sister,
ReplyDeleteThis is my third time trying to leave a comment. The first two comments wouldn't go through earlier today. :(
I wanted to say that YOU are ALWAYS in MY prayers dear friend...ALWAYS. I have been praying for some time now for your specific health issues regarding your liver and gall bladder. Praise God that you have a specialist that isn't so easily keen on removing your gall bladder.
As you know, I have had problems with my liver as well and after doing a Hyda-Scan of my gall bladder a few years ago, it was found that it wasn't functioning at all and was making me very ill...thus I had to have mine removed to feel better.
You have so many beautiful things in your listing to be thankful for and I am so happy to see that you are being whisked away by your family to your old state. That should be so much fun and refreshing for you and your hubby after a summer filled with painting and painting and...painting.
I love you my friend and you inspire and encourage me with your heart-filled words and love for the Lord and life in your postings here and also in your comments left for me on my blog site.
Thank you my friend for being the beautiful person that you are and YOU stand out shining among one of many "Life Blessings" to me.
Peace be with you this day my friend and many gentle hugs being sent your way.

Loved your post! What a great reminder of God faithfulness. I am thankful for the wonderful privilege of homeschooling my son each day. A lot of people around the world legally cannot homeschool. But I can. Thank God!!
ReplyDeleteKeep trusting the Great Physician.
ReplyDeleteYour positive post has reminded me to focus on the good in my life instead of what isn't--Thanks for that!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful way to look at life's challenges, Noreen! Counting our many blessings reminds us of the goodness of God and that He has not forgotten us! Praying for you as you keep your mind stayed on Him!! Have a beautiful weekend!
ReplyDeleteJust stopped by this morning, as today is my only day off from classes--even though it will be spent studying. I just had to stop by since I've been missing hearing about how you all are doing. Keep us posted on your liver situation. I received a call this week that my daughter's lab work showed something is not right with her liver ... so they have referred her to see a specialist as well. not sure what to think about that, but the Great Physician is in control..so we can be thankful for that. Hope you have a nice weekend. :) This morning reminds me of true fall weather! Such a welcome relief from the heat! Hugs!
