Celestial Seasonings Teas

Well we are home from our morning out and I'm here to tell you that if you live in our glorious state or visit, going to the Celestial Teas plant in Boulder is something no one should miss. I've mentioned before that going to Boulder takes me right back to my high school and college days of being a hippie and is something I can often do without. I wasn't sure about the company because I knew it had started back in the day by several hippies. Watching the video on how the plant began did indeed take me back to another era but I was so impressed with their philosophy and ethic in the product of their teas. I loved the fact that they are supporting many people and farms in other areas of the world and also their quality control. I've been to "tea parties" that have a very negative view of this company so I always questioned their quality. After today I'll be one who buys there tea on a regular basis-I love their seasonal teas. We couldn't take photos but I did come away not only with a couple of free samples but with a box of a new Christmas tea called Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride and right now I am sipping on a nice cup of it. It is sugar free but takes like a sugar cookie...go figure. I so enjoyed this tour and factory and will be taking others to visit again.

  1. What fun, Noreen! I like their teas. My newest are a chai, white, and peach teas. I have not tried the Christmas Sugar Cookie; hope we get those in our stores here.
Yes, Boulder, as in certain parts of CO are reminiscent of the hippie days. Someone here I know is making the "mod" headbands from that time frame. All I could think of is ,please, let's not go back and visit it. Probably the same feeling you had.
I hope the fires are out now.
So glad you had a good time.
    Love,
    Miriam

  3. What a fun tour. I'm partial to the strong flavor of Morning Thunder now and then.
Thanks so much for your prayers concerning our house situation. It takes the Lord to help us muddle through the details!
    Bless you this weekend...........Denise

  5. While I must have my morning coffee, I do like Celestial Seasonings, especially while I'm reading. My favorite is the mandarin orange closely followed by red zinger. I must say Christmas Sugar Cookie doesn't appeal to me at all.

  6. I've never been a hot tea drinker, but this past summer we had a family reunion at the beach. Aunt Patty continued her tradition of having "tea at 3 with Aunt Patty". Each day, new flavors were served, and she shared a beautiful devotional with all the "great-grandkids" (those a generation behind me). We all enjoyed the break from the sun, and more importantly the fellowship we experienced through our afternoon tea.

I imagine the British are onto something. I just might take up the habit and include some soul-sisters therein.

Enjoy your Christmas blends--the season will soon be fast upon us.
