Thankful Thursday and Funfilled Friday

Blessings to you my friends. Oh what a busy couple of days I've had; firstly Christmas shopping for our grandchildren, then today I had my hair cut and colored and then headed down to Longmont to visit with my dear friend who is here house sitting. The photo above is a small sled my family gave me many years ago that I fill with holiday stuffed animals. Occasionally I fill it with our grandkids and we take photos-not this year though, at least not yet.
I love to collect snowmen of all shapes and sizes and found that my kitchen windowsill was a perfect spot for these. In fact, I think I'll leave them out at least til February because they are just so cute.
Tomorrow I'll be helping my oldest make cookies with her kiddos. Maybe I'll actually help instead of holding my newest bundle of love. Tomorrow night our church has a music program that we'll be attending. Saturday eve we will be celebrating another granddaughter's 2nd birthday. What fun!!! Sunday may find me back down with my girlfriend for a couple of days. She usually house-sits for 2-3 weeks at a time and since I only get to see her once a year we try to squeeze in as much time as possible. Being that she is 45 minutes away does limit how often I go down, but boy do we have fun.
Have a joyous day and weekend; make it a priority to find joy in all you do, cherish the moments of life and in all things give thanks.
Remember Jesus is the reason for the season!
Hugs, Noreen

I'm winding everything up this weekend, and will do my holiday baking next week...one of my favorite things to do even though I personally am not big on sweets.

  3. Morning Sweet Noreen,
Nice to hear from you. So sorry to hear your hubby now has a cold,
sure hope it is not the same one we have had or he might have it for a lonnnnnggg time. Monday will be 3 weeks for me, so hoping it leaves completely in the next few days.
Love your sleigh full of bears and that adorable lil snowman. All your snowmen are so sweet, I just love the lil looks on their faces,
so adorable, they make me smile.
Great place to put them to, especially when you can see all that snow behind them!
Sounds like you have a lot of fun
things coming up. I saw Becky for a few minutes last night to give her a Christmas gift, and then went to see another sweet friend who lives in her same neighborhood to give her a gift as well, while hubby was at an Elder's mtg. at church. So left my friends at 9:30
to go meet hubby at Walmart and found a gift for a lil neighbor boy we love to pcs. - don't get to see him as much since his Mom and he moved out of his grandmothers.
He has had a tough life the sweet lil guy! So we found something we thought he would love and then got a few grocery items, and then went to Perkins and ate breakfast at
11 P.M. - It was fun, something different! and delicious too! lol
Thought I might have trouble sleeping but nada, slept like a log and woke up to someone messing with my toes, had my foot off the bed and thought it was Jimmy trying to wake me up cause it was late, and it was grandaughter dog
Joey, nudging my toes, I died laughing, cause I opened my eyes thinking I would see Jimmy and then thought what the heck, and looked down and there was Joey.
Fun way to wake up, I felt flattered she missed me........
until she ran to the pantry for a cookie. they sure know how to deflate your ego!! lol
Well, you have a really fun weekend

  8. Noreen, the sled is just too cute. My sister loves snowmen too. My husband ask her one time if she knew how many she had and why she liked them so much. She is so funny, she said, "I don't know how many, I quit counting. I love them because they are Biblical." "Snowman comes to the Father."
    Hugs and Merry Christmas

  9. Sounds like you have been having busy days and a lot of fun. I love all your snowmen. I collect snowmen also, actually have a small snowman themed tree. I do leave quite a few of them out after Christmas - usually until it is time to decorate for spring.

    Wishing you a Merry Christmas!
