A View In My Neighborhood

Happy Wednesday to you! This morning after I ran errands, Hunter and I went on a walk. The days have been beautiful, albeit a little cold still. This photo is of our golf course and shows just how much our snow is melting. Walking is absolutely no problem now-the sidewalks are clear. I've got to say I love it! It is supposed to be nice all week and maybe rain on the weekend-which would be funny, since it isn't our rainy season.
Last summer when our friends David and Aletha were here we happened upon this cute book library. None of us had ever seen anything like it and Aletha went home to Carmel Valley and wrote a letter-so now they have one too. Since then, I've seen another one in the development and think it is a splendid idea.
On the same street I always admire this bird house. I believe it is for Martins and don't know if birds actually use it, whatever the case it is so cute.

I've started my second block for the Honor Flight quilt and will post tomorrow. I was glad to see our leader had the same pattern as I did-finding a Star pattern in a 10" in almost impossible. I also got a handy quilt square tool that I'll share as well.
This afternoon two grands are coming for sewing, to continue working on their book bags.
Now, I've got to get down and work on that square before they get here.
I hope you are having a great week and possibly enjoying some signs of spring~for those on the east coast buried under snow, hang in there.
Joy to you!
Noreen

  1. Noreen, You have a nice place to walk with Hunter. I thinks it is so nice that your grandgirls get to be with you. You are teaching them a skill they will have the rest of their lives. You are a wonderful grandmother. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  2. Sounds like you are enjoying your outdoor walks. Too cold and windy here. But no huge piles of snow. What fun to sew with your grands.
