What an amazing creature! Now here in Colorado, people are having lots of problems with bears breaking into their homes etc. in search of food, but we have invaded their land and I guess this is one of the consequences we humans face. I wouldn't be happy either if I had a bear break into my house, but I sure felt blessed when we were graced with his presence. I wouldn't be too happy if one lumbered through our campsite either. Last night on the news, the mentioned they had closed one canyon due to two mama bears and their four cubs. Smart idea. One issue that makes me angry is that many folks won't use the correct type of garbage can, that is bear proof and that creates more problems for many areas.
I hope you have a glorious day and are thankful for the blessings in your life.
Joy to you!
Noreen
I'll be honest ... bears fascinate and frighten me. I had hoped that we would have seen a bear while on the Blue Ridge Parkway ... but by the same token, I'm kind of glad we didn't. ;-) I'll just enjoy your photos.
ReplyDeleteHi Noreen, You are indeed blessed to live in such a beautiful place! We looked at houses in Estes 3 years ago; we just love it so much...prices were pretty high, PLUS, most importantly, family is in Iowa and Texas. I want my grandkids to know me!!!
ReplyDeleteI also am aware that living somewhere is not the same as vacationing there. You are a blessed woman, Noreen!
Mom loves watching the bears on KB's Romping and Rolling in the Rockies - she gets some great footage from her cameras. Did you see the video of the Mama Bear and her cubs frolicking in the pool in New Jersey? Too funny.
