Happy Friday Friends~The other day we got a box in the mail from Hills Dog Food; to be honest, receiving this was a surprise. It wasn't from Mr. Chewy and I couldn't remember whom posted on these treats. I was even more surprised that there were three bags of soft chewy treats-Hunter definitely scored. I've shared how spoiled Hunter is and how picky he is about food, but give him a treat and he is a happy boy! In fact, I've decided to stop wasting money on canned food and just cook chicken for him. He still has his kibble, which he'll eat this weekend, because Lily and Petrol will be here.
He was trying to get one of the bags opened.
Can you tell he is so happy at the prospect of more treats. I tell you if we had it to do over again, I wouldn't give him any food but kibble plus one treat a day. He will sit at the treat cabinet and sneeze at me until I give him one. I've actually gotten a squirt bottle out and let him see it so he stopped whining and left the area. I don't mind his sneezing but the whining gets old very quickly. Hunter loves the Duck & Sweet Potatoe treats. He seems to do better with softer treats and these are perfect and the perfect size for a small dog. I will definitely purchase these in the future. So if you have a pup, try these out; they are grain free and made in the U.S.
Hunter gives them
I hope you have a fantastic day and wonderful weekend! Hunter will be so excited that he will have two girls over, I know there will be lots of playtime.
Hugs,
Noreen & Hunter

Your little dog is so cute! My Sophie is also a picky eater.......where can these be purchased?
ReplyDeleteIt's so funny that I'm reading your post on treats this morning. I just took my Bella on her well visit to the vets. She is 5 pounds over weight. That is a lot for a lab. So.... no more treats, She will have her dental chew in the and the cookies will sit and get stale. Hunter is adorable.
ReplyDeleteSweet and lucky Hunter...
ReplyDeleteJust in case you're interested, we've had multiple dogs with dietary issues. The most recent is R. We were warned not to simply cook chicken or whatever for him but to get a veterinary nutritionist to make a homemade diet plan for him. We did that through www.petdiets.com. We've now used their chief veterinarian (Dr. Remillard) to design diets for three of our dogs over the years, and it's worked out really well!
Just thought you might be interested since it sounds like feeding Hunter has been a challenge.
Hi Noreen...my girls do very well on chicken and vegetables...broccoli, cauliflower and carrots! Occasionally they get beef or lamb or veal. I do not feed kibble anymore. There were too many recalls and I just don't trust the kibble anymore. They also get coconut oil and glucosamine mixed in. Happy girls! Hope Hunter has a fun weekend with his friends!! Happy Sunday to you too! xo
