Fall Colors

I am pleased to say that my Mums in the front bed are coming back, after being destroyed in the hailstorm in August. The flowering red plant though is not one of them; I hit the market yesterday and the prices had been reduced. What's a girl to do but pick up two. I would have picked up several more for the back yard as well but thought that might be pushing hubby a bit to far. I love Mums; they seem to last until a heavy frost and they come back bigger each year. Nothing says fall like flowering Mums in my yard. I also got this cute garden flag(which I didn't intend to put up until our roof was done and house painted, but couldn't wait)while in Ca. at a Wild Bird store. I love the colors.

I always try to pick a Mum that goes with this wreathe but even if this gold one doesn't, it does say Welcome Autumn to me. I hope you have a glorious day, enjoying fall in your area.
Blessings,  Noreen

  1. Looks beautiful! We helped mom cut out fabric. We got 1 color almost done and now have to do another. Mom wants to cut it out right away cuz the store is going out of business and she knows she might mess up. Happy Thursday!

  6. Your mums are truly gorgeous! You must have quite green thumb if they come back bigger every year.

It's supposed to snow up here tomorrow :(

You asked how we are doing. We emerged unscathed from the floods themselves, although many around us lost their homes. So, we are among the lucky ones. The hardest part is that round trip to town is very very long on bumpy rough roads. My spine cannot handle it so I haven't gone to town since the floods. I am hoping that an easier route opens before too long.

  8. Nothing says fall like mums! I love them, and now I'm wondering why I don't have any in our yard???? I must remedy that. In the meantime, I'm going to put a couple in pots and put them out on to add some fall color.
