"For I know the plans that I have for you,'declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11

To all my faithful friends, Today I encountered a problem that some of you have experienced of late and that is comments left, in a different language, from someone unknown. I remember one of the blogs I follow had the same situation occur-I do not want to make my blog private but need advice on how to curtail this problem. If you are the person leaving the comments in Chinese please stop. Thank you.
Here is what I've found. If you moderate your comments then you can keep a close watch on that. Do not open any comments left in Chinese because it's spam!! I remember Margaret when she opened the link in hers and it then compromised her e-mail account.
I know some don't like to moderate their comments, yet it does help.
Oh goodness. I wonder if that is what happened to my page. I opened a comment that was left in a foreign language. Good grief! I hope you get this sorted out. I left a comment on your previous blog and for some reason it didn't "take". You may need to do what Scrappy said, and moderate your comments for a while.
That is stinky...Praying that God would expose who is doing this. On the upside Noreen, God must be using your blog to encourage others and it must have made the nasty old enemy mad! Good for you sister, and thank you for the heads up! Hugs, GG
I too have had it happen twice. Once it was just one word that said nothing and when I clicked on it to see who it might be it was pornography! I was horrified needless to say. AND then one other time it was some weird spam advertisment thing. I didn't know what to do so I did nothing. Both of these happened a few months ago now and I haven't had anything at all since. I considered doing the modification thing, but didn't do it. I promised myself if I get one more, I will. Good luck with this, I will be watching to see what happens to you too. Hugs, Debbie
Good advise from Scrappy Quilter. Sorry you are having this problem. So annoying. I almost bought that book from your yesterdays post... I did not buy any Christmas fiction this year. I am not looking forward to the cold and possible snow that might be on the way are you?
Leave your comment "Thank You" for leaving me a comment on my blog ~ I so appreciate each one and even if I don't respond please know I do read them. "May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer." Psalm 19:14

People really can mess up a good thing, right? Spam?? I really hope not. Enjoy your day and hopefully no more strange comments!

Also you can report abuse. If you go to the top of your page, you'll see where you can report abuse. I'd definitely do that too. Hugs
ReplyDeleteNoreen,
ReplyDeleteI believe it was Rhondi @ Rose colored glasses blog. Maybe she can give you some advice. Hope it gets worked out.
Blessings & hugs,
