Thankful Thursday

On this Thankful Thursday I have to start by saying I am so very thankful for this precious grand daughter who turned four yesterday. What a joy she has brought to our lives; she is the image of her momma at this age only with a serious side to her personality. Our girl is a girlie girl, through and through but having older brothers has given her an adventuresome spirit as well. She loves dress up and playing with dolls but is equally comfortable with mud, toy trucks, legos, and picking out pictures of rifles in magazines(of course she'll tell you they have to be pink).
I am thankful for her mom and dad and their own strong walk of faith; raising each of their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. I am thankful this girl loves to Praise Jesus!
I am thankful for the friend she is to her oldest cousin and how they are best friends as well as cousins. I am thankful she has such a tender heart towards little ones, especially babies.
I am thankful that when asked what she wanted for her birthday dinner she answered "A princess cake" and when her momma answered "no silly, what do you want to eat?" she exclaimed "a chocolate cake" and finally upon understanding the question she answered "sandwiches" which made the evening a bit more relaxed for my girl.
I am so blessed to have so many fun grand children who love this nana.

Blessings, Noreen

  1. Good Morning Noreen,
First things first, I am wishing your beautiful granddaughter a very belated Happy Birthday wish! She is so beautiful and that is one million dollar smile!
What a wonderful tribute to her parents, and how refreshing to have parents that make lifetime investments, and the rewards will last for eternity. And I know the feeling of being loved by grandchildren, it makes the sun shine brighter everyday ! So enjoy my dear friend!

I haven't been on my computer except to check emails this week, so when I visit friends I am having to play catch-up. I was going to email you today and find out how everything turned out,but decided to visit first. That fresh corn looks good enough to eat!LOL
I am so happy that you were able to get it and freeze it, And I most humbly thank you for your sweet words,I hope and pray that my Dear Lord will one day say the same!
Well I so enjoyed my visit, and am looking for more time to spend with you, but My Mother and I are sewing aprons again today and we are having so much fun,I hope to post about this adventure soon. Oops! I see her driving down the driveway, So have a most blessed day.
    Hugs,
    Sue

I love you and I'm praying for you.

I have not had a chance to respond to you about "prayer" in terms of what I've learned and still am learning in my walk but I have not forgotten you. I love you.
