We're home and it feels so good! Yesterday when we left Santa Fe it was lovely out, the sun shining and hubby was wearing shorts but by the time we arrived home last night the snow was falling. This was our yard this morning and as much as I love the snow and living here it made me wonder what type of winter we are in for if the snow is here already. Two years ago it wasn't snowing until Thanksgiving and last year it didn't start until December and was quite light all winter but it is just barely October. Hubby and I hit the grocery store last night to stock up for the weekend just in case and I can say I'm glad we did. I think I'll be quilting a lot this year.
Have a blessed weekend.

Wow...what a sight! I can't imagine seeing snow in October...Georgia rarely sees snow, period....
ReplyDeleteI always loved the first snow and how pretty it was, but this is really a little early. So glad you have a lot to keep you busy inside. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWe had a gorgeous summer with lovely cool temps. We both believe we will pay for it, this winter. The leaves are changing about 2 weeks ahead of last year. I can't remember when we saw our first snow, but I think it was in late November/early December. Wouldn't surprise me if it's earlier and heavier this year.
Oh how I love seeing the snow. Winter is my favorite season. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend dear friend. Hugs..
ReplyDeleteHow finilar that looks and i wonder why?? (o:
ReplyDeleteI wish it would wait, but it will be what it will be.
I would say that over the years we can expect some 'weather' around Halloween, but this is early. The reason i want it to wait is that spring snows and cold are so much more prevalent than they use to be.
You said you would be quilting...sounds good. I say I will be stuck indoors to long with 5 kids (o: I keep reminding myself that planning crafts and activities is the key (o:
Glad you had fun. Sorry you had to come home to cold. Come by...I always miss it when you don't comment (o:
Oh I love the way snow looks. However it is quite early in the year. Glad to read that you got home safely and look forward to your photos of the trip.
ReplyDeleteLove you,
Debbie
I love Santa Fe too! My husband is from New Mexico and we would love to live in the Santa Fe area but that would be too far away from all the grandbabies :-) I just started quilting within the last two years after retiring! My grandmother used to do it all the time and it is something I always wanted to do. Now I'm teaching myself how to do it :-) Loved the picture - new snow always looks so clean and fresh!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sight! Although I always love the sight of that first soft snowfall, it IS a bit early :o)
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
What a surprise that must have been! It is very pretty. I hope you have a warm and cozy weekend. Take care.
ReplyDeleteIt is very pretty when the first snow falls. That is quite a bit of snow for early October. I hope you have a blessed Sunday and keep warm!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful sight! I couldn't access your text this time but the pictures are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
As I have told you before, I love Colorado. Can't believe you have received your first snow!! Blessings to you. Stay warm!!
ReplyDeleteI've forgotten--what part of Colo.?
This is a little early - but the last 2 years have been late and very mild. It is usually around Halloween we get the first snow, but it has snowed as early as Labor Day! Glad you are back safe from Santa Fe.
ReplyDeleteHi Sweet Nor! Wow! A white FALL!! How crazy is that?? It sure is pretty though! So glad we both are back home safe and sound. We had a great time!!
ReplyDeleteI'll be in touch!
Love you,
Beck
