Happy Friday

Well today was the first day I felt like I could make it out to the grocery store, so you know I'm on the mend.  One dear sil  has also had this nasty cold and he recommended Musenix, so I talked to the Pharmacist and ended up getting Musenix DM-we'll see if it makes a difference. I am actually able to work on a puzzle we started.  I'm still staying inside for the weekend, I don't want to share this bug with anyone.  I also found a gluten free soup and it was delicious.
How about you?  What do you do when you've been knocked flat by a cold/flu bug?
Have a restful weekend and stay healthy!
Hugs, Noreen

  1. I've never taken that Musinex but some of my family swear by it....that it helps greatly. My doctor brother thinks that the thinner mucus isn't as happy a breeding ground for germs.

Noreen I must tell you what a blessing coming to your site is for me. I click on a link for your site and then go on to something else while it opens. Then I start hearing music...it is always so good for my soul. Then I remember it's probably coming from your site....great selection!
Hope your weekend is restful and that you're back on your feet next week.

  2. Oh I am praying I don't get it. Seems like many I know are down with it. My poor mom and step dad have been sick over two weeks! I am sorry you have been caught, but sounds like you are already feeling a little better. I have heard good things about Musinex too. Rest my friend, and feel better soon! HUGS

  3. Bless your heart. A nasty cold is such a nightmare. I have used Musinex D and found it helpful, although I try to only use it in the mornings or I can't sleep at night. For me, colloidal silver intranasally helps cure illness as well as prevent it. It doesn't tend to dry out nasal passages, which I appreciate in our dry climate! Bless you dear.....Denise

  4. Ohhh dear Noreen,
I'm so sorry that you've got it now. I hear that that nasty bug is everywhere. My hubby and my dad and now my mom all have it. My daughter-in-law and her co-workers have it. My nephew has it. And so many of my bloggie friends do too.
Praying for EVERYONE'S swift healing and God's protection for those who don't have it.
    God bless you my friend,
    Deb

  5. Oh Noreen I am so sorry you got that nasty stuff! Mucinex is good stuff but make sure you drink LOTS of water with it so it will work at its best :)

When any of us get that I make some homemade chicken soup using the whole chicken so it makes its own broth.

Glad you are staying in....Praying for peaceful rest and healing for you!

    Love you!

  6. I have had the head cold and COUGH at night
I even passed up a chance to go to the Sportsman Expo in Denver with the kids...I would go to hang out with them...not the Sports Stuff. I went to Hobby Lobby and am ready for a nap (o:
One night I coughed all night. Someone suggested putting Vicks on the bottom of my feet and wearing socks over it to bed. I also put some on my chest. I did not cough that night. It is no cure for sure ... but I was so relieved to stop coughing (o: Get better.
