Dreaming

It's Thankful Thursday and I'm thankful for you dear ones!!! I cruised through my old photos this morning, trying to corral my thoughts for today and saw these pics. They are taken on Kauai, one of our favorite vacation spots. If hubby had his way, we would be living there(or so he says), but with family here you couldn't drag us away. Plus living in the Islands is not cheap! I hope you enjoy.

I believe this was an old estate, which is next to a golf course.  I believe the original owner sold the land to the golf course.
For those of you old enough, this was taken for a t.v. series. There was a key phrase in the series-"The Plane, The Plane"; any ideas.

I had a wonderful visit with my girlfriend yesterday; there were only nine Springers to exercise before we went shopping and to lunch.  This certainly beats the 16-18 she's had in the past; while they are wonderful dogs, by the time I left my allergies had kicked into high gear.
Today, Hunter and I will head to Kam's for a quick walk; the tile man is here working and I don't want to be away for too long.  It will be warm today, so I see myself outside enjoying the sunshine.
Oh Kauai, we love you; thinking of Val and her girlz too.
Aloha,

Our first sunrise in Kauai 2012

Good morning friends~ How I wish I could have brought you all with me; hopefully you can pretend while you look at our photos.  I now remember the good and bad things about traveling here-the bad is that the flight is so long-eight hours in all and my feet swell.  This started about eight years ago and I know that I need to get up and move about more than I do, but I sure hate how my feet and ankles look when it happens. If any of you experience this and have tips for me, please share them.
The good news is that by this morning they were back to normal and being here is All Good.  I did forget that with so many wild chickens about, there are bound to be roosters and they crowed all night long-so it does take us a day to get our bodies adjusted.  However, this is what we woke up to this morning.  We look right out of the beach and it's beautiful. I can just hear my girls saying "Ahh" and the grands wanting to come over.

We are still on Colorado time and although this was taken about 5:30 here, it was 9:30 at home.  I'm sure we will crash early tonight.  But for now, we are up and moving, swaying to the Hawaiin music on the radio; it is truly paradise.

I'm so in awe of our Creator who gives us so much beauty.  May your spirit soar today with His; may you find beauty all around you.
Aloha~Noreen

More Of My Favorites

I love the beauty of the Islands and the majesty of my Father's creation.
The Heavens declare the glory of God.

This canyon was the sight where Jurassic Park was filmed.

I am thankful for God's people and their habitation.

Have a wonderful Thankful Thursday my friends.

One of my most favorite things to see when we are on Kauai are the chickens that roam free over the whole island. I'm sure the locals get really tired of them but there is just something so cool about seeing them everywhere.
The beauty of the sea and the coastline always calms my soul. I respect the ocean but find it so peaceful to just sit and watch. Today we actually saw a huge turtle playing in the waves but by the time we got the camera on, he had disappeared.

The water is very choppy due to such high winds but it is a reminder of how powerful nature can be and of how powerful my Creator is.
Have a joyous day!
