Old Man Winter

Good Morning to you; this is the last Monday of 2014, so let's make it memorable. Winter has definitely arrived in northern Colorado and as long as I can just stay inside, I'm fine. I do have to run to Wal*art today to get a late Christmas present and then off to the Post Office to ship it. I had planned on spending the entire afternoon sewing, but decided I will start taking down our Christmas decorations. I hate to take them down, but I love the fresh, clean look when everything is back to normal, to usher in the New Year. This week will be pretty relaxed(o.k. I'm retired, so every day is like that), other than going to my dentist tomorrow to check my crown and make sure it wasn't damaged during the root canal. On New Year's Eve we typically go out to our favorite restaurant, but since we went out twice last week, we will stay home. In fact, we generally do not stay up past 10:30 or 11:00 p.m. I hope you will be safe and warm today, especially if you live in the snow.
Blessings,
Noreen & Hunter

  1. I'm jealous of your snow ... none here with no forecast of any in the foreseeable future. I would love to take down our tree but I think I'm going to wait until I feel better (yesterday was a little better than Saturday and today is a bit of an improvement on yesterday, but I'm still a good ways from feeling good enough to do much more than what I have to).

  5. Oh my, that snow does look cold! We were about 30 this morning and expecting a high of 58 or so. That's the kind of winter I'm getting used to :) I try not to use the heater in my house so it was 58 inside this morning, just need to bundle up a bit! Enjoy your time inside today. Blessings to you!

  7. We've actually had a few days that for California were kind of chilly. I have thoroughly enjoyed them. We took down our tree, but the rest will stay till New Years Day. I love them up too, but I am looking forward to having it all done. May you and yours have a wonderful and blessed New Year!

  9. Noreen, That is plenty enough snow for me. LOL I could actually get by with one snow a year. LOL. Good luck with your crown. I had a dentist break a crown once doing a root canal. That cost a fortune...he sent me a bil for 58 dollars . I wrote him back saying since you broke my crown and I had to get a new one at my dentist., I do not feel I owe you...so they mark it paid. :):) I am amazed at the nerve. Of course he was probably thinking the same of me. So funny. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
