Happy Tuesday to you. Baby, it's cold outside! This morning Hunter and I walked with Kam and Lexie and the temp was about 27 degrees, much to chilly to walk even with gloves on. Had I known that it would be that cold I would have had my snow jacket and heavy gloves on. Hubby decided to compile all our tax info(with selling three houses and buying two there is a lot), before the first of the year so our CPA could get a head start. That means however he has confiscated my laptop, thus not allowing me to post photos as easily.
We also went to the Post Office and waited over 30 minutes; they were short handed and there was a long line.
Yesterday I asked what your favorite tradition was for Christmas; our was laying out new pj's on Christmas Eve for our girls and also watching special Christmas movies on Christmas Eve.  One not too thrilling memory was hubby and I wrapping all the presents, that had been hidden away, after our girls went to bed; some Christmas Eve nights I stayed up til after midnight. When the girls went to bed there was nothing under the tree, but Christmas morning all the presents were there. Also, we always cut our tree down and tried to go to the same Christmas tree farm. Now, we have a fake tree and it is easy to put up.
I hope your season is filled with joy and sweet memories!
Hugs,
Noreen

  2. Yes a busy time of year ` 27 F is the same as -2C for us here and that isn't to bad if there is no winds to make it feel colder living in Canada it is just something one gets used to lol ! I remember doing all that when our kids were little . Thanks for sharing , Have a good day !

  3. It was in the 50's here today. For the past 2 weeks we have been 15-20 degrees above normal! We wonder why that hasn't happened to your area?

  4. Sounds very cold in your neck of the woods...I love all your traditions and several of them so similar to my own...staying up to all hours putting things together or wrapping presents...All good memories....

  5. We almost always wrapped gifts late into the night on Christmas eve for a very special/magical Christmas morning. It's so different now! Stay warm! Blessings, Cindy

  6. Yuck taxes bad enough paying them but the doing is just as bad. Nice and sunny here and quite mild again. Love the idea of movie night at Christmas. We celebrate Christmas eve as they do in Europe so we get an extra day of celebrations. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
    Best wishes Molly

  7. It's been in the 30's here when Lois, Vickie and I walk ... and to be honest, I'm thinking about how to bow out. They prefer to walk outside, and while I would too, I'm already dressing like an Eskimo and am not any too comfortable. What am I going to do when it drops below 30?

Ugh - you've reminded me that it will soon be tax time. Thankfully ours aren't as complicated as some, but even so, I just hate, hate, hate tax time. ;-)

  8. We have been walking in the local mall with our temps dipping way below freezing some days. Even 27 is too chilly for a long walk! At least for me 😄. We have a real tree this year...after years of not having one in the house. Hugs to you!

  9. Our temps have been up and down! I sprang for some special flip-top mittens with fingerless gloves inside. SO GREAT for my photo safaris! Very warm. Even the top of the thumb flips off. Love them!
Try not to let the tax season mess interfere with celebrating Christmas! :)
