Happy Friday Friends, This will be our first Halloween in our home and we really aren't sure how many little ones to expect. Hubby gives out the candy and I will be keeping the dogs occupied. At our old house, we turned out our lights by 8:00 p.m. because we would get high schoolers and college kids and when the guys have more facial hair than my hubby, I draw the line. For many it will be a fun night out and for some a night of mischief.
Today will be a somewhat relaxed day, hubby is working so I'll be doing things I enjoy; some of the grands will be over this afternoon, while mama takes one for a check up.
I hope you have a peaceful night and great weekend.
Blessings,
Noreen

Have fun handing out that candy.
ReplyDeleteHAP-PEE HOWL-O-WEENIE!!!
ReplyDeleteWe turn our porch lights out by 7 here....or when we run out of candy! Our high today is going to be 41 so it will be chilly..
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great comment on my blog today. It does sound like you do have a gift in the area you mentioned. I'm sure God will reveal more as you pray and meditate.
Hugs....
Noreen, I hope you have cute and sweet little ones come by tonight. We never have them here, we live in the country. Too far for even the grands to be driven here for a treat. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteEach year it seems like we get fewer and fewer kids. It IS a very bitter cold night. But it is now 7:45 and we have only had the doorbell ring once with four kids - that's it. We usually put our lights out around 8:15 too. Hope you grandchildren had a fun Halloween.

We never get any kids at our house. After 15 years, we've finally stopped buying candy "just in case". I hope that you had lots of cute little kids visit this evening. I imagine that your lights are out by now! Happy Halloween!

I had to give out the candy last night as DH went next door to "help" our neighbor give out candy. I quilted between trick or treaters (we had 3 different groups, a total of about 15 or so). I turned out the lights at around 8:00-ish. I'm like you ... I draw the line at the kids who are too old to be trick or treating. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween....hope it was a fun night. We had about 75 kids. I usually turn the lights out at 9:00 and we didn't have a lot of older teenagers this year. Have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteMe and Stanley were passing out candy but we didn't have near as many kids as last year! The weather was pawfect so we were expecting lots of kids but they must have gone elsewhere!

PS - Remember to vote in the Blogville election on TUESDAY!
Of course we don't get any trick or treaters at our house, but I miss seeing them -- When we lived in a subdivision, like you, I turned out the lights around 8 to avoid those greedy older kids that would literally have a pillow case full of candy.
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween Noreen! Hope you all had fun! We don't get any kids at our house...it is too rural here. We usually get in the car and drive to the center of town where we can see the little ones! I miss trick or treating so much!!
