Happy Wednesday to you!  I am so pleased that hubby and I got 80% of our shopping done yesterday; what a relief. I am still working on cards, just a few more to send out.  Has anyone else noticed that folks just aren't sending cards anymore?  On another note-there is a dogblog Christmas Card exchange and Hunter has received 17 cards so far while we've only received two-one from our daughter and one from hubby's sister.  Wow is all I can say.
Today is another crazy day-friends coming for dinner so I've got all sorts of projects to put away, grocery shopping to be done, cooking etc etc.  Love this time of year but this year seems extra busy.
I will tell you that I am having a hard time getting around to you all and I'm sorry but know you understand.  Once the festivities settle, I'll be back at your doorstep, so to speak, visiting.  I'll grab time when I can.
Blessings,
Noreen & Hunter

  2. Good morning! First, your right...seems Christmas cards are becoming a thing of the past. Not many do it anymore, but I have a feeling I will hold out to the bitter end...I LOVE both the sending, and the receiving. Only 3 so far over here, but none for Elvis, haha. I do know what you mean about time and visiting though...hard to get it all in. Enjoy your day, and your dinner!

  4. That's funny that the dog gets more cards...something wrong there, huh? LOL I have notices we don't get as many as we used to. Got 3 here so far. Have fun with your dinner tonight. We don't have anyone over ever, haven't for years and kind of like it that way now. Too stressful for me anymore.
Yeah on the shopping being almost done. We are doing some this evening!

  6. We have noticed that the cards have declined too. It is so bad that I don't even have mailing addresses for most of my cousins. Emails yes, but no snail mail addresses.

  8. Your days are so full. I usually do a Christmas letter with cards, but as many other things those are not happening this year. This year life happenings beyond our control have brought us to a Christmas that is not being decorated for in the normal fashion, nor celebrated in our usual way. Traditions....they are nice, good in so many ways, but this year in all my..."can't do that, that's not going to happen" I am discovering a new quiet with God. This advent, this waiting for the day chosen to celebrate the birth of Jesus....I am finding more of His presence, more awareness of this Gift given to me, to all who will choose to receive.

I think it's so funny that Hunter is getting the boatload of cards. How very fun! I posted a song on my site that you might like if you need a breather...blessed me.

  10. I hear you on being too busy to do much blog visiting ... even with taking a 2-week hiatus from blogging, I'm having trouble getting around to anyone's blogs myself. But I'm really enjoying this holiday season and hope that you are, too!
