Thankful Thursday

Morning Friends,  Well I can tell you that I am very thankful we had such a fun trip but I'm even more thankful that we are home.  Our little guy Hunter is not doing well; I saw the vet yesterday and she said it is a viral flu bug-due to the fact that Lily got it. I am thinking Hunter has a worse case due to his young age.  I can tell you that he and I were up every hour during the night so he could go outside and cleanse his body of whatever toxins he has.  I put a call into the vet first thing this morning requesting something like Immodium for him-he just can't continue to have this go one.  I'm wondering if it was the stay at the kennel(although we've never had any problems before but maybe another dog had the flu) or that  we just gave him, several weeks ago, the first booster of the Influenza shot required by the kennel. I'm giving him baby food, a Tablespoon at a time, to see if he can keep that down.
I will be staying put until he is feeling better; I think once we get more meds he should be back to his fun self.  I can tell you that this mama has been pretty concerned about the whole situation. It didn't help that our daughter, 6 mos pregnant with five kids was handling it alone while hubby is away on business, made me feel even worse.  Hats off to her and her kiddos for their help.  You don't ever want to be away when your kids, grands or animals are sick-you just feel so hopeless.
Tomorrow I will begin posting some of the photos for you to see.  Until then, have a blessed day!
Hugs, Noreen and Hunter

  1. Oh poor little Hunter. Hope he feels better soon. Seems so many pups are on the ill side. I think the worst part is they can't tell you how or where it hurts.
Look forward to seeing your trip photos. take care.

Need to email you a prayer request :)

  4. All paws crossed for Hunter to be doing much better very soon. Just having you home should help a lot too. Lightning had a bout with a tummy bug a while ago and it took some time and some meds from the vet. Please give him some extra hugs from us.

  5. Oh no! Poor Hunter!!! :-/ Well, I send lots of love and licks to both of you! These things will eventually work their way out of his poor little system! I've had a couple of icky tummy bugs from the dog park, so I completely sympathize!

  14. I hope Hunter is better soon. When Josey had diarrhea, the vet prescribed probiotics and it cleared up within a day or so.
