St. Patty's Day Tablescape

Happy Monday to you! As many of you know, St. Patty's Day is a very big deal at our house and in our family. Not only do we wear green, I decorate the table and the family eats a traditional Irish-American meal of Corned Beef, Cabbage and Potatoes. I thought I'd share my tablescape with you today; enjoy.

I thought about trying to get some of my mom's Spode out of boxes but decided against it; after all we were eating at our youngest daughter's house. What fun we had-I shared stories/tales passed on to me from my mom about life in Ireland and the Leprechauns mischief. I found this little dish last year and loved it; I don't have many pieces to decorate with, so it made its way home with me.

This sweet vase is Belleek and a gift from my brother and sister-in-love, purchased when they were there two years ago. I love it!!!
We had a wonderful weekend; I hope you did too.
Happy Day!

  2. Looks like you had a very nice St. Patrick's Day. No green for me yesterday ... DH and I wore orange and blue, T#1's swim team colors. And no corned beef and cabbage for us either ... I would have ordered a corned beef sandwich for lunch, but the place we stopped didn't have it on their menu.

  3. Sounds like yummy fun. I think we had salmon for dinner. Still good but not very Irish. MOM said maybe if it was not on a Sunday we would have went an Irish way. But Salmon on the grill is A-OK with me. I love it. I would fall over backwards if MOM made such a lovely table as you did. She is just not into it, at least when it is just the two of us.

  5. We don't do much for St. Patrick's Day. But you are giving me some inspiration.

  6. The table looks beautiful - bet it was a wonderful meal and time together. Mom has a collection of Belleek - it is well protected from us in a glass cabinet.

    Happy Belated St. Paddy's Day.

  7. What a beautiful table Noreen! My grandparents were born in Ireland so we always go out so my husband can eat his corned beef! I am not such a good Irish girl as I don't like corned beef...

If you are still having problems with feedly...let me know...I received some tips in my mail from the CEO for anyone still having problems.
