Outdoor Wednesday

Good afternoon to you!  I had hoped to get here earlier but you know how it goes; I met a friend for coffee to talk about our crafts for next week's lunch/craft time and then ran to Hob*y Lob** for supplies as well as Michael's.  It is a beautiful day out, temps are about 52 degrees which is so much nicer than yesterday-it was snowing a good part of the day.  I came home with the supplies I needed and then had a quick bite of lunch before taking Hunter and hubby out on a short walk.  It feels like spring and I'm not sure about the rest of you but I have a tendency to get sluggish in winter, so I'm looking forward to nice weather.  I always exercise more and like being outside in the garden in the spring, even though we don't start planting until after Mother's Day.  It is amazing how a little bit of sunshine can make you feel so much better.
Hunter absolutely loves being outside; in fact I'm thinking once we get a screen door with a doggy door in it, he'll spend most of his time in the back yard.  He is feeling so much better and looking pretty good after getting groomed yesterday.
I hope you are enjoying your day today too.  I'm going to pop in and say hello to a bunch of you and then lug my sewing machine back downstairs to work on that quilt that is taking me forever.  For some reason, this winter I've had a hard time being motivated.  Just wish some of you quilters lived next door so you could encourage me.
Hugs, Noreen & Hunter

  1. I hear you- I get sluggish in winter, too. I should be downstairs with my sewing machine right now. Glad you have nice weather and can get outside for a bit- xo Diana

  2. We were thinking of a doggie door too for our little Shilo. We are having such beautiful days and the flowers are blooming.
What quilt are you working on, is it one of the patterns you bought in Kauai?. I have been dreaming of Hawaii and am ready to go again. We are headed for Costa Rica in a few weeks. This will be our first trip and I have heard the beaches are beautiful.
Post your quilt, I would love to see it.
    Have a sweet day, Elizabeth

  3. Oh how I wished you lived next door! It would be so nice to visit back and forth! I am working on the rag quilt today and while it is going good, it is soo slow. I am taking my time so my back doesn't bother me (which it can if I sit there for too long of stretches) and I want the seams to be super straight of course. I'd love to see yours. Melody is going to use the one you made for this baby too. She was soo careful with it she felt like it barely got used, plus she liked the idea that they both shared something so special. The bigger the rag quilt gets, the harder it is to work with though, haha. Hope you had a good day. 52 for us would be a cold day, haha. Personally I LOVE that temp. It is 85 again today. A little too warm for me. HUGS

  4. I just wish I could sew. :) If I could, I'd love to be a quilter. I admire you folks with that talent.

I'm ready for nice weather too!

    Have a great evening,
    Tammy

  5. I need to get busy making some hooded baby towels. We are aiming for
the 70's next two days. I can't wait to sit on my front porch in the sun.

  6. Well, you know we all get lots of energy in the winter, but Mom prefers the spring too. She wishes she knew a quilter nearby who could teach her to quilt.

So good to hear that Hunter is better.

  7. I wish MOM would get me a doggie door like i have at Bet=rt's place. But she says that she does not want raccoon, skunks and any other critters, besides me, in the house. Hey Hunter buddy glad you are so much better now.
    Blessings,
    Goose

  10. So glad Hunter is doing well! We have beautiful weather here. Mom and Dad got to run in shorts and then worked in the back yard. And tomorrow is supposed to be even better!
