Happy Saturday To You. While most of California is being inundated with rain, here we are enjoying mild days-albeit somewhat cool and signs of spring all around. Early this morning, before dawn,I could hear the birds softly singing. Today is a routine day-exercise class, quilting(I actually get to sandwich my top to the bottom today), errands as well as celebrating our youngest grandaughters first birthday. Rynne is a delight, so filled with smiles and big hugs and quite the sense of humor. Hard to believe it was just a year ago that she was born.
This morning I picked up my devotional and read yesterdays post and it seemed to fitting to our lives-just want to share it with you today.
From Sarah Young, Jesus Calling " Let thankfulness temper all your thoughts. A thankful mind-set keeps you in touch with Me. I hate it when My children grumble, casually despising My sovereignty. Thankfulness is a safeguard against this deadly sin. Furthermore, a grateful attitude becomes a grid through which you perceive life. Gratitude enable you to see the Light of My Presence shining on all your circumstances. Cultivate a thankful heart, for this glorifies Me and fills you with Joy." March 25.
I don't know about you, but I certainly want to be able to see the Light of His Presence shining in all my circumstances. I want my simple life to glorify my Lord, in all things.
Weekend hugs to you today. Noreen

ReplyDeleteHello Noreen!! I've so enjoyed this morning sitting down and reading your past posts. It has been a challenging time for me in that my values have been ridiculed...I'll spare you the details and just say thank-you for your posts that continue to uplift me and inspire and remind me of what's important. Thank-you for that! I hope you are having a good day and enjoyed Riverdance!
ReplyDeleteSuch a worthy "wanting". Me too. I have found as I age, I am much more mindful of my witness; my testimony. I want my every word & action to be pleasing to Him, and to bring honor to His name. I spent waaaayyyyy too many years doing it my way, and I fear the only glory be passed around is what I captured & kept for myself (which means it was anything BUT glorious) :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day of simple pleasures,
Kathleen
This is my desire too, Noreen. Thanks for the encouragement. I find I am always learning and growing with my walk.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Sue
