Good morning dear ones, I trust you had a joy filled weekend and that all is well with your souls. As I pondered what to write about today, I reflected on the great time I had at both daughters homes over the weekend. With hubby away both families had me to dinner-such a sweet time spent with our loved ones. The grands always keep me entertained and laughing, each evening was no exception. Last night, after dinner, at our oldest daughter's home we went outside in the lovely evening and played Ladderball. It is a wonderful outdoor game that even a 4 yr old can play; in fact during our camping trip Little Miss D kept trying to play as well and she's only 18 mos.
My daughters families reminds me of one of my favorite Psalms.
Psalm 128:1-4
"How blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, Who walks in His ways.
When you shall eat of the fruit of your hands, You will be happy and it will be well with you.
Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine, Within your house, Your children like olive plants
Around your table.
Behold, for thus shall the man be blessed who fears the Lord."
The blessings pour down on hubby and I through our daughters, their godly hubby's and their children. What joy it brings to my heart to see our girls raising their children in the Lord.
What brings joy to your heart? What is the desires you have for your children, young and old.
I am especially joyful today because my beloved is coming home from his golf trip.

ReplyDeleteHi Noreen! Thanks so much for your visit to Sand Flat Farm! I, too, will be following you! I'm looking forward to coming back and seeing what you're up to! There's so many of us at the same stage of our lives blogging and it's been so much fun for me to meet all you wonderful Christian ladies! You are surely blessed to have such a wonderful family with grandchildren. I don't have any yet, but I'm hoping one of these days I WILL! Vickie
ReplyDeleteMy heart's desire is for my children/grands to walk in truth. In fact, that's what my header says. Isn't it wonderful??!!
ReplyDeleteOh I know just how you are feeling. There is just something soo satifying to see your grandkids benefit from godly parents. Sounds like you had a wonderful week-end. Have a good day...HUGS, Debbie
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a wonderful weekend with your family. Children are so much fun, and you are so blessed to have children that are raising their children to love the Lord! Have a wonderful day! Karen
ReplyDeleteIt brought a smile to my face to read your post today. One thing I thought of was the effort you, as a mom, put into your family in order to get them where they are today. The Lord has used you mightily and now, YOU (and others) are reaping (ENJOYING) the fruit of your labor, for God's glory. Thanks for bringing hope to us moms with younger children to "keep on keepin' on!"
ReplyDeleteLovely post, Noreen. I'm glad you got to enjoy time at both daughters' homes with those precious grandchildren.
ReplyDeleteYou asked what I desire for my children. Every night when I pray over my son I ask that he would be a man after God's own heart.
Many people want their children to be happy, but I would prefer that the seek righteousness rather than their own happiness.
Have a blessed day, dear one.
Very nice Noreen. We too have the game of Laddergolf, and it is fun! Everyone can play.
ReplyDeleteHope hubby had a great time golfing, and I hope he arrives safely.
What a beautiful post Noreen! Your heart is so full of joy and love and it just pours out of you into your words!! What a treasure you are giving and receiving as you have done such a wonderful job with your own children and they are doing as they learned! God is soo good isn't HE :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your husbands return today :)
Love and Hugs!
