Sights of New Mexico

This is one of the largest Hot Air Balloon Festivals and it was spectacular!
Although we used to attend a festival in Sonoma County when our girls were young, it was nothing like this. Seeing so many balloons going up at the same time was thrilling and even though there were approximately 100,000 people it certainly didn't feel that crowded.
Hubby and I are now glad we got up while it was dark to venture to this.

Whether a child or adult I think this brings out the child in all of us.

These were so cute and even though they never ascended, it was fun to watch the pilots move them around.

Our close friends and old neighbors from California joined us. It was the first Hot Air Balloon Fest they had ever been to and they were thrilled to be there.

Smile God loves You! The song that crept into my mind this morning was:
"Oh how He loves you and Me".
May you realize just how much he loves you today!
Blessings, Noreen

  3. It's fun to see the pictures because I hear the girls talk about it but had seen no pictures. One of them told me that if you lean over to far you would fall out. That was her observation.
I will ask if they saw the Bees (o:

  6. Hi Noreen,
Loved the pics, they are great.
We saw a balloon thing like that once in Helen, Ga. years ago. Our
son was thrilled, he was about 8-9years old then. We really enjoyed it as well, very pretty sight.
Not nearly as big as the one you went to tho! That was definitely worth getting up for. Nice you were able to go with your friends as well. thanks for sharing your pics with us. Enjoyed them very much.
    Have a great evening,
    Blessings hon, Nellie
P.S. nice pic of you and hubby

  10. Wonderful pics Noreen. I had my one and only air balloon ride in Pennsylvania a few years ago - what an amazing thrill that was - for one who is totally afraid of heights! LOL
