Last Friday I asked you, dear friends, to go visit Spiritually Unequal Marriage to read a story written by my daughter that tells of her childhood. I pray that you were blessed by her reflections. Today I am sharing some of my testimony there as well.
Please grab a cup of coffee or tea and join me here. http://unequalmarriage.typepad.com/

Awesome post...I loved reading it. I was saved in Feb. 1976 and it wasn't until 2 years later B was. He tells everyone is was because of the change in me that he saw, that made him decide to follow our Lord and Savior. I wanted him saved immediately...I too left things around for him to read. It didn't work...prayer and my lifestyle change did. (It was a drastic change for him to see in me, however I have never regretted it. Although I'm not perfect in my walk with the Lord, I know without a shadow of a doubt I'm saved by His perfect grace.)
ReplyDeleteit's beautiful
ReplyDeleteVery nice post. I am sure it really hits home for a lot of people. I always enjoy reading what you have to say. Your daughters and their families seem very amazing. I was raised by a single mom. She was not ( as far as I knew) a christain. She did take us to Sunday school and drop us off when we were very little. I became a religious fanatic ( her words). I was the baby of the family, so for many years it was just me and her. I think I finally made a difference in her life without preaching to her ( there is no way she would have put up with that). Not the same as a marriage!!! But still called to be salt and light (o:
ReplyDeleteNoreen,
ReplyDeleteI can't begin to thank you for sharing the truth of living in an unequally yoked marriage. You have Jesus indwelling in your heart and you honor Him.
You are my eternal friend. I can't wait to meet you, face-to-face.... One day soon... What a glorious day that will be. Hugs.
I read your post at SUM as was very touched by you testimony. My DH has never forbidden me to attend church, but he always has a negative comment about it. Your words have given me a new perspective and I stand in prayer with you for our husbands.
ReplyDeleteDear Noreen,
ReplyDeleteI just read the post you wrote. It is a beautiful testimony of the faithfulness of God. Thank you so much for sharing it.
