Hello Friends! It seems like it has been forever since I've posted, just haven't had a lot to write about and quilt projects are looming over my head.   In fact, one project I have been working on is finally finished~tah dah; it was a tough project to get through, but a dear friend helped me along.
Yesterday,  hubby and I went to join the family at a local lake where they were camping.  WE always used to join the girls & their families, but as we've gotten older I've determined that sleeping on the floor is not something I'd want to do.  We've toyed with a Class C motorhome, but it isn't in the picture right now.  Yesterday was a beautiful day out and perfect for being on a lake.  Our oldest daughter's family has had ski boats on and off and this year they decided to get some paddle boards.
Let me tell you it was so much fun.  Hubby took to it right away.
Our two oldest granddaughters had so much fun; it's not only fun, but it is good exercise.
You can't tell here, but Kim has little man in front of her.
Trying to figure out how to balance and how I'm going to stand up.
It wasn't as hard as I thought, even though I can no longer sit down on my lower legs.  Lack of mobility.

Pretty good for a 67 year old, wouldn't you say.
I would have stayed out longer, but there was a little issue with the other board.  Nothing serious.
I never went back out, but sure hope that we get another time to try this.
We've also been dog sitting this weekend and so are trying to stay home more than we normally would.  The dogs get picked up tonight; tomorrow we are heading to one of my favorite quilt stores to get some sale batiks.  I have a special quilt I'll be starting for someone very dear to me.  Enough said.  I won't be able to post any pictures b/c said recipient might just see it here.
Hope your August has started out well.
Blessings to you!
Noreen
