Happy Friday

Good Morning to you from cold Colorado. Yesterday was so cold, but the sun was out and shining so life was good; today is cloudy and cool with snow moving in. Guess it is that time of year. I recently read an article on FB about how Norwegians have a different perspective on winter weather. Instead of dreading the snow, they just bundle up(probably in those thick Norwegian sweaters that are not only warm, but beautiful)and spend time outside. Last night when I was reading one of my favorite blogs, a sweet gal who lives in Idaho, shared the beauty of her land after the snow. It inspired me to enjoy the pristine beauty in a new fallen snow. Actually, one thing I enjoy about winter is that I stay inside more and can get more sewing done; it's a good time to relax a normally hectic schedule. We had friends over for dinner last night and enjoyed a visit with them as well as one card game. Our evening ended much too early, but I'm looking forward to seeing them in Dec. Today I have a haircut and color and am so anxious. I had to wait longer than necessary for the appointment, but will be glad to look fresh after it is done. I looked and looked for cute clip art, but am unwilling to download anything or pay for something I can get for free. This computer is still giving me fits and I wonder if a MacAir will be under the tree for me this year.
I have a couple of crafts shows to go to this weekend, but other than that nothing is planned, except sewing.
I hope you are finding joy in your day and that the weekend will hold some time for you to do something that brings you joy!

  1. Hi Noreen! I hope your appointment goes well, and you feel all 'pretty' for the Thanksgiving holiday!
My sister lives in Alamosa, Colorado, and they have had the low for the country a couple of times this past week. Brrrrr... I guess winter is really coming?
    Happy weekend!

  2. Noreen, I think today will be our ;last nice for a few. I went to the park for photos and they had decorated for Christmas. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  3. WE are waiting on some snow this weekend, we loves to play in it. stella rose

  4. Isnt it wonderful to find something that really touches your heart, and lets you feel good when you read it!

  5. Mom doesn't like the winter much from outside but it is nice to see a fresh fallen snow. We love to be OUTSIDE in this cool weather and are excited to have some snow get here soon, we hope. Mom has a MacBook Pro and loves it. Hope Santa is good to you.

  6. I feel the same way you do about winter ... I love a freshly fallen snow. With my Raynauds, I don't have much tolerance for cold, so if I don't have to get out in the cold, I'm much happier. But I'd miss winter if we lived somewhere warm year 'round.

  7. I love living where there are four seasons. The changing brings new blessings. Well, maybe not the March winds.

  8. There are season of weather that each of us has to endure or figure out how to thrive in. Ours is the extreme heat of summer and yours is the cold and snowy winters. Many years ago, a dear friend sat in my kitchen and told me I need to 'bloom where I am planted', so I have learned how to be a blooming cacti! And I'm sure You can appreciate the beautiful of a Christmas Cactus! Hope you have enjoyed sewing and craft fairs this weekend. Blessings, Cindy xoxo

  9. Hope your cut and color went well. I got mine done recently and it always feels good when it's over!!!!
    Stay warm.......

  10. My great grandpa came from Norway....but I still don't like the snow and cold. We haven't received any snow yet. I lived in CO for a short time and I remember it could snow one day and melt the next. Enjoy your new haircut! Getting mine trimmed next month too.
