Good Morning, I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Ours was good, but hubby had to work late Saturday night due to a big golf tournament. I spent the afternoon sewing and reading, so felt like I accomplished a lot. Though I did decide that I need more light fabric for my quilt. The tans are just too dark and won't make the contrast I need. Live and learn. These are pics that hubby took Saturday night-the colors are due to the haze we still have lingering, from all the fires in the west.

Yesterday, we went up to RMNP and had lunch and a short hike. We saw a huge herd of Elk and were able to get some great shots-I'll post them tomorrow. It was fun just to get up there. Later on, a couple at the end of our cul-de-sac hosted a party to get to know the new families. Today, I'm taking Hunter to the groomer and then will head down to a big mall near Denver with my other neighbors. This week should be pretty relaxed, but bible study and sewing start next week. I hope you have a day filled with vivid and beautiful colors.
Hugs,
Noreen

  2. I would love to see a herd of elk, even one or two, around here but farm bureau has put the jinx on that. They are against elk in VA...but Game and Inland Fisheries have introduced...re-introduced...elk to southwest VA. Frankly, I'm all for it...after all, they were here first and sharing is a good thing...right?

  3. I have a feeling that you'll find a use for those tans that aren't going to work on your quilt. ;-) I'd like to head back to RMNP one of these days ... we went with my family, which means they chose our itinerary and there was so much that DH and I would have preferred to have done/seen instead. We talk about planning a trip out there to coincide with our Cardinals playing the Rockies, but it's hard to coordinate the Cardinals schedule with the Ts' swim meets ... and their meets take priority.

  5. Mom said as it starts cooling me and Stanley will get to go on hikes again. Right now we get too hot and sweat under our armpits.
