Oh Happy Day

Happy Monday to you friends, I am so pleased to say that although I'm not totally pain free, I am back in the land of the living. Thank you all for checking in on me and for prayers & good wishes sent; I've said it before and I'll say it again-Blogville is one big family of love. I am blessed beyond measure! I got home late Friday-around dinner time; I could tell I was ready to go because I was starting to get impatient with the incredible nurses. Actually, the floor I was on was swamped and they just didn't have the time to take care of someone who needed to leave. That is not a negative-I get it totally. I was supposed to have left on Thursday, but my blood pressure spiked and they wouldn't release me until they got it under control. Thursday was a low day energy wise and I felt like I just slept it away. Hubby would come and stay for three hours at a time; he'd be sitting watching t.v. with me and I'd just doze off. This is one of the reasons I didn't want any visitors-knew I wouldn't be able to stay awake. By the time I got home, I was one happy gal! I think just leaving gave me a boost of energy. I will say that sleeping has been my hardest time of all-even with the pain meds, I just can't seem to get comfortable. Once I'm up in the morning things ease out, but I'm looking forward to sleeping soundly without pain in the future. I wanted to share the lovely flowers I got.
This first bouquet was from our neighbors across the street-so pretty !  We have always been blessed with incredible neighbors and we appreciate them.  The one below was from my hubby-although I had told him that I didn't want people buying flowers for me; I have to say how much I've enjoyed all my bouquets.
This lovely bouquet came from our bff/traveling buddies and old neighbors in Ca.  Thank you Jim and Barb!
Lastly, a dear friend who lives a street over had her hubby drop these tulips off on Saturday.    I love them and the green vase is beautiful.
The weekend has been low key; I'm thankful  that I got a new book to review-it's kept me engaged.  Each day will be better I know and I'll just keep taking it easy. My granddaughter just arrived to hang out with me this afternoon.
Joy to you!
Noreen

  1. Noreen, I'm so happy to read that you are home and feeling better. What sweet friends/neighbors you have. Even if we don't want people to spend money on flowers, it certainly is a very nice surprise and I'm sure you appreciated them so very much! Praying that you continue to heal quickly and that your energy level picks up daily!! Blessings, Cindy

  2. Hi Norine! I'll admit it, I was a little concerned reading your last post...I'm so glad you are home and feeling better. Your b/p must be under control, so alleluia for that!

Your flowers are just gorgeous. Who has tulips in February? How decadent! It's so great to know that you have such a loving family and friends too who care for you. Keep being good to yourself, and naps are wonderful!

  15. I am so glad you are home and doing well. Sorry you have so much pain, keep walking. I hope you can sleep better, too. It is hard to find a comfy arrangement, try pillows like when you were pregnant for support. You have been in my thoughts and prayers every day. Its all uphill from here!

  22. Hi Noreen,
So glad to hear you are feeling some better, course,
I know you have some recovery still ahead, so you be sure and do what the Dr. told you, by staying down and
just trying to enjoy this time of not having to do a lot.
We don't get those opportunities very often, so take
full advantage of it..........as you will be back to normal soon and will have plenty of time to do everything.
All your flowers are lovely, and know you are enjoying them very much..........

Take care of yourself.....and you should be feeling great by our birthday. lol

    Love and Blessings, Nellie
