Morning Peeps, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I have a book review I need to do, but today is just another 'take it easy' day. Friday I was feeling good, so hubby and I ran two errands; the first one wasn't bad at all, but I should have skipped the second one(to the grocery store). I can tell you that I was that little lady pushing the very small carts-so I could walk very slowly. I knew I'd need a really good nap when I got home and I did. What I didn't count on was that it would keep me worn out all weekend. Lesson learned; I'm taking a step backward from now on and just relaxing all week. I still wake up sore every morning; trying to transition to my side during the night, but boy oh boy do I get sore. One nice thing was(you know I'm not up to par when I finish this)a huge snow storm this weekend that kept us housebound. We just kicked back, watched old movies-one was "Music and Lyrics" and was pretty good. We also watched a Hallmark movie and caught some of the Oscars.
Today will be a day of trying, yes trying, to get caught up with all of you my friends. I'm really hoping that within the next week or two I will begin to feel an end to the soreness. I know it will be a good 4-6 mos before I'm back to normal, but I'll take little victories as they come.
May your day be filled with smiles!
Noreen

Small steps! Be patient with yourself - even though it's frustrating! I've been fighting an injury for a couple months now and am so frustrated that my body just doesn't heal like it did 30 years ago! :( I know it's hard.
ReplyDeleteSaying prayers for you!

Praying that you will find a routine that doesn't wear you out but doesn't make you feel confined ... and that you will continue to feel better each and every day, my friend.
ReplyDeleteHi Noreen, I'm glad you are improving although I know it's not as quickly as you would like. Praying for you and your health. I know you want to be able to get out and enjoy spring, and it's going to be here pretty soon! :)
ReplyDeleteWell, our weather is fit for nothing but staying in for sure, well or recuperating. I don't handle confinement very well but am getting some more packing and cleaning out done. Wishing you headway in your recovery. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteHoping lots of good rest will help you heal well. Don't push it - take your time and let your body heal.

Inch by inch.....small steps. Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteI just started following your blog and hope you don't mind my commenting. I had this surgery 8 years ago-it does take time to recover from it so just take it easy and listen to your body! Prayers for healing!
ReplyDeleteNo rush on catching up!!!! Rest, rest, rest. It takes a while for the anaesthesia to get out of your system in addition to getting over the soreness. So, take it easy!
ReplyDeleteA little bit better each day...slow but sure. Still praying it gets easier every day! HUGS
ReplyDeletePace yourself Noreen. You will be right as rain in no time.

Just remember "baby steps" you'll get there, it takes time for your body to recover....it really does. Get lost of rest and continue to take all the help you can get
