Let's Take A Trip

It's outdoor Wednesday, so what better way to start the day than looking at beautiful sites. These photos are all of New England, taken from Pinterest. I keep telling my heart to be still. I'm not sure which scene evokes more emotions for me, what about for you? I love the first photo, wouldn't it be fun to stay there for a few nights?
Covered bridges can be seen throughout New England; in some places they are called Kissing Bridges.
I can just imagine little ones swinging here, adults too.
This town reminds me of Booth Bay, where hubby and I spent several days 13 yrs ago, celebrating our 25th Anniversary.
One of the things I love most about New England in Autumn is that almost every porch and yard is decorated for the season; when we came home from that trip, our first stop was to a nursery so I could purchase about 8 Mum plants for our front porch.  Seems like so long ago, but New England definitely has a place in my heart.
I'm off this morning to my ladies bible study and then will spend the afternoon with hubby.  Yesterday we bought some paint for our office; I doubt we'll start it today because we have plans for dinner at a friend's house.
I hope you liked my eye candy; would you go somewhere special for the Fall season?
Hugs,
Noreen

Autumn Color

It's Thankful Thursday and I am overwhelmed by blessings, so my heart is in awe. I love Autumn, yes I'll just keep saying that! Here are some more beauties that are draped in gold.

Breckenridge's main plaza.
This Linden tree is in our back yard and so gold right now, but the colors aren't coming through. It reminds me of several trips to New England~it is so incredibly beautiful, but when you take photos they just don't show the depth of color.
All around us the trees are changing and the leaves are beginning to drop.  Yesterday my two granddaughters made drawstring skirts for their American Girl dolls; it was so fun and easy that our time was over in about an hour.  We played Quirkle until their brothers were done with their wood working project.  Today, our other two granddaughters come over for the same project.  I'm not sure what this morning will encompass, it could be a drive or just working on Christmas presents(sorry girls, I'm not saying). One thing I'm very thankful for is that my heal feels normal today and I'm so thankful.  I am not one to just sit around the house doing nothing(unless I'm recovering from a bug or last winter's surgery), the idea of not being able to walk Hunter was not pleasing to me.  It might mean I'd get more sewing done and other projects, but I don't like being lazy.
I hope your day is filled with gratitude and joy and that you are able to do something that you love.
Blessings,
Noreen
