It's Friday, It's Friday....whoopee!  Today, five quilting friends and I are driving up to Wyoming on a mini-shop hop.  If you've never heard this expression before, it simply means that a group of quilters are going to several different quilt stores together.  Often a Shop-Hop involves a large area with many different shops involved; they are all hoping to draw new business in.  There may even be a giveaway or some sort of extra incentive to come to their stores.  In our case, it is simply a group of us gals, from our quilt group, who'd like to travel to some stores we may not have been too before.  So Wyoming here we come.  We will be going to two stores in Cheyenne, then having lunch before heading to two stores in Laramie.  I've been to one of the stores in Cheyenne, on our way back from Oregon this summer.  However, hubby was with me and I was looking for stencils for hand quilting and didn't find a thing. This trip however, I'll be looking for fabric and some gifts.  It will be a full day, with lots of laughter and fun.  As you know, last Friday several of us went to a large quilt show in Longmont and had a great time together.  One of the gals even brought a beautiful Quilt display case, made of cherry wood and some leaded glass.  Our quilt group was having a hard time getting together for activities centered around quilting, so I came up with a list of places to go.  Don't know what I'll do after this trip, but I'm sure the gals will have some ideas.  Many groups gather for retreats or larger shows out of their area~I may just have to throw those ideas out as well.

On a serious note~many of us have friends or family on the East Coast and are praying for their protection.  Please stay safe and get out of harms way!
