Thankful Thursday

It's noon time already and I haven't accomplished anything but walking with Hunter. I went by both daughter's homes to say hello and also ran to the hardware store.  I've made a healthy "green smoothie" for lunch verses just juicing the greens like I normally do.  I thought why waste all that fiber and I'm getting used to a thicker drink.  I have Kale, Spinach, Strawberries, an Apple, yogurt and a touch of lemonade to think it down.  I always feel so much better when I do any green drinks and I know my liver likes Kale so much.  To be honest, I like it in drink and cooked but not crazy just eating it in salad.
Tonight we are meeting some close friends for dinner at our favorite restaurant; we gave the fellow a gift card for this restaurant as a gift for when he got his doctorate.  The card will cover their dinner and we will cover ours; should be fun.
I made Hunter some meatballs yesterday and he loved them, but was up several times during the night.  Not sure if he just wanted outside a lot or if the meatballs didn't agree with him.  I'll keep an eye on him today, I gave him a very little bit with his kibble-so time will tell.
Hope you have a great day!
Joy to you.

  2. I think we rather eat green things than in a juice. Not a great fan of the smoothie. We should as it is good for you but can never get to like them. Hope you have a lovely time tonight. Enjoy. Have a tremendous Thursday.

  3. Sounds like a busy day. I love green smoothies too. I have to put a little fruit in it like you do. I generally put a banana in. Enjoy your dinner out. Funny, Lee had a bit of an upset tummy today, she got some extra treats yesterday so not sure what it was, or if she ate too much grass (she loves to eat grass).

    Cheers!

  8. I make a smoothie every morning for myself. I found a Kale salad at the grocery store that came with a dressing and it was amazing. Don't like it with my normal dressing. Our Target also sells a wonderful bag of Kale for smoothies. Right now I have Spinach at home for mine. I like to put shredded cabbage in too when I have it. I use frozen berries which makes it nice and cold and thick. I love drinking my greens! Hope you have a great dinner tonight.

  9. We hope Hunter's tummy will be better tonight. Sometimes just a little change in diet can cause upset for Ciara. Your smoothie sounds delish to Mom.
