Good morning to you. I hope you had a enjoyable weekend filled with all that makes you happiest. Doesn't this scene just evoke the feelings of calm and rest? Hubby took this photo when we were at Lake Tahoe and it has captured my attention, made me think of what life's journey should look like. I'm not a sailor, although hubby grew up sailing and loves it, but if I wanted to go this is the type of day I'd want to try-you know calm waters, a bit of wind but not too much, so you could just cruise around the lake. Often we think that we'd like our lives to be like that, just enough wind to keep us going but not rock our world; not so many trials that we are hanging on for dear life. But you know we don't always grow when things are easy; it is in rocky times that we really tend to look up and try to grab the Hand that can steady the waters.
It is when we are going through the trials that we can, if willing, experience the depth of a Love that will never leave us or forsake us. Are you holding His hand today?
Blessings to you.
Noreen
Yes, my weekend was packed with all I love!! Happy Monday....
ReplyDeleteSuch truth in your words, Noreen! We don't ask for the storms, but it is during the difficulties that we tend to grow most. We reach out for our Father's hand and know He'll walk with us through the storm. Have a blessed week!
ReplyDeleteNoreen,
ReplyDeleteI love the serenity I found in your post this morning and as of lately I've been holding on to God with both hands firmly grasped around Him.

Thanks for stopping by Life Lessons, Noreen! It is always so good to see you, my friend! It's nice to know that others struggle in this area, too! Thankful that our God knows our frame and remembers we're but dust, and loves us in spite of us! Have a wonderful day, enjoying His blessings!
ReplyDeleteFriend, beautiful sharing and photo! You're precious!
ReplyDeleteLove the picture! It makes me think of the Puget Sound waterway here in WA State. And there's something about large bodies of water that summon a restfulness of soul. It's a fitting scene for your Monday sentiments.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Kathleen
