Happy Friday to you. This may be a long weekend for many, so I hope yours is filled with contentment and joy. On Wednesday evening, as hubby and I were sitting outside I kept marveling at our sunset. It isn't as vibrant as those in the west, but it was beautiful just the same.

Yesterday was a great day; I took a friend to the movies and saw War Room.  It was a powerful movie that I would love to own.  I spent a little time in the sewing room and got to see my youngest and her family too.  Life doesn't get much better than this.
Today will be an easy day too; taking a girlfriend to a boutique store that is open for the next ten days.  Won't be buying anything, but it is always fun to go look.  Nothing much going on this weekend except that my oldest girl and family will be returning from the Islands.  Can't wait to see them.
I hope you have a blessed day!
Hugs,
Noreen

October Sky

Happy Tuesday to you. It is no wonder I've fallen under Colorado's spell, with the incredible fall colors this year, as well as our brilliant sunsets. The other night, hubby and I were sitting on our deck, just taking in the beauty of the sunset. Hubby is the natural photographer and artist, but I couldn't help but try to capture the beauty before us.
We have many 14er's here in Colorado; 14er's refer to any mountain above 14,000'. These two mountains are in our area and grace us with their beauty all year long. Many folks climb them and although I've hiked most of the way to Half Dome, I would not venture to climb Longs Peak. The first year we were here, we met a man who was in his 80's and had climbed the mountain for his 80th birthday. Incredible I say, although you really can't tell they are as high as they are  in this picture.

We had another busy day yesterday, buying hubby a new car.  His Explorer has over 160,000 miles and is failing pretty rapidly. He could no longer drive his car on the freeway and we knew it was just a matter of time before it quit completely.  As of tomorrow, he will have a nice new black(it had to be black, as he always wanted a black car)Passat.  I'm very excited for him and think it will be a fun car to take road trips in, or roadies as we call them.
Today, I've got bible study and then hope to continue cutting out fabric for the new quilt.
May your day be filled with kindness and contentment.
Hugs,
Noreen

Happy Friday Friends,  This is the sky that graced us last night; isn't it beautiful!  Today promises to be a good day~walking first thing and then a dear friend is coming over and we are going to lunch. This weekend is pretty open except for the Bronco's game on Sunday.  We are supposed to have colder weather, down in the 40's today and also possibly have snow tomorrow.  That will bring me back to reality; I can't imagine if we had spring from here on out.  So, what are your plans for the weekend?  Whatever you have planned, may your days be filled with joy.
Blessings,  Noreen
