One Of KB's Bears?

Happy Friday Friends! This day has been filled with driving all around town and stopping at garage sales; I got some great Christmas decorations and some misc. items. I have to admit the sales don't thrill me as they did years ago, before we moved and had to pack everything up. Now I'm much more careful about what I'll buy; hubby is thankful. So this is the last wildlife photo I've got from our daughter-this was taken up in Estes.

Now, for those of you who know my friend KB at http://romp-roll-rockies.blogspot.com , you know that she always has the best photos of animals in her neck of the woods. She share bears, mountain lions, elk, moose, deer etc. and when my daughter sent me this, I wondered if it could be one of the bears that she's had her trail cameras get pics of.  My girl said there were actually two bears; what a beauty this one is.  I love all the Aspen trees too.
I'm just glad he/she isn't in my backyard; KB has a wonderful sense of the wildlife that inhabit her area, lets them know when she and her dogs are coming.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs,

Wildlife

Happy Thursday to you all! Well, I told you my daughter and her family were camping and they have had a great time. They woke up yesterday to Elk in their campsite and enjoyed watching them. Last night I got these texts~deer in the campsite. How fun for the grands!

They took a drive into a state park area, where we camped 6 years ago and what did they see but this young Moose eating in the meadow. We've seen Moose at Grand Lake once, when we camped there as well. I never understood the attraction that Moose have over people(you know those that buy stuffed Moose etc), but once I saw a herd up close I totally understood it. I love these creatures. Makes me want to take a drive up to the park to see some. We've been told that they are coming over the ridge from Grand Lake to Rocky Mountain National Park. I'm not sure what impact they would have on the park, other than having more cars and people visit during the summer.

Today I'm walking with Kam and then will go visit another friend. She has a lung condition and doesn't get out as much as she used to, so I love going over and catching up over a cup of coffee. I finished my Patriotic table runner yesterday and my daughter will machine quilt it for me. Today we are supposed to get into the 80's and I hope to join my firstborn at the pool this afternoon with her kiddos. Right now it's a bit foggy; I've actually got jeans on. Yesterday I did 3 miles with friends, but today Kam is bringing Lexie and we tend to go a bit slower. It's just good to be enjoying the time together.
Tomorrow we have our annual town garage sale, so I'll be out with Kam and her family first thing-as in 7:30 am, hitting the area.

I hope that whatever your day holds, you find a bit of time to stop and do something that you love.
Blessings~

Wow Us Wednesday

It's Outdoor Wednesday and I have a fantastic photo to share with you~our daughter's house backs up to open space and they have between 2-4 Owls that hunt and live in the trees in the canyon. When we got back from our trip, they borrowed our telephoto and got this shot; actually they got three shots but this is the best. They have two different types of Owls-one is a Barred Owl(I thought she was meaning Barn Owl,but I was wrong)and also the Great Horned Owl. Love it!

When they moved into their home a year ago, they really felt it was too big and just weren't sure about it; I am pleased to say that now they love it-especially with all the wildlife behind them.
Today, Hunter goes to the groomer and our two oldest granddaughters are hosting a tea for all of us girls.  What good training!
I hope you have a bit of nature in your day and a bit of love.
Joy to you!

The Beauty of His Creation

Recently while in Estes Park, Colorado I came upon this beautiful bull elk. He was used to seeing people so allowed a picture to be taken. Whether I am at home in town or in the mountains I am continually amazed by wild life and how different each animal is. Thank you Lord for showering our world with so many wonderful animals.
