A Small Town Parade

Until we moved to northern Colorado, four years ago, we weren't personally involved in any small town parades.  That changed and the first Labor Day parade we watched here showed us we had made the right decision to move to a small town of 18,000 people.  I know this isn't small for many of you but after living in cities that had populations of about 200,000 it seemed small to us.  We loved the parade because those in it give candy out to all the children on the sidelines.  It seems as if the whole town turns out for it and this year the parade last two hours.  Such fun.

Some of our eldest vet's lead the parade.

Our high school marching band is one of the top in the nation and was at the last Presidential Inauguration.
Our four granddaughters came away with lots of candy and they had a great time watching all the floats and marching groups.  Got to love it!!!
Blessings on your day.
