Happy Friday

Happy Friday to you! It is cold and rainy here in Colorado and feels more like winter than fall. A good day to stay in and do simple things-like watching a movie with grandsons and quilting. As promised here are photos from Kauai.
I met with a friend this morning; we were supposed to walk, but I'm still a bit stuffy due to my cold. We sat and had tea and visited.  She is such a blessing to me.  On of the not-so-fun things I had to do this morning was call my doctor's office.  You see, I was taken off of blood pressure meds last April and have been so happy to not be suffering the side effects.  Then hubby bought a blood pressure cuff and so I have been monitoring mine daily.  Shouldn't have been doing it when I have a cold and taking otc medicine.  Let me just say, mine has been high-mainly it is my diastolic number has been high.  So I called in and got an appt. for Monday; however I must say dealing with the receptionist is so frustrating that I know my bp went up.  Hopefully, by this weekend, my bp will be back to normal and I won't need to get on medication.  I'd rather be safe than sorry though.
This afternoon I have two grandsons coming over to hang out with me, while their mom gets together with a friend.
I hope that your day is filled with all that brings you joy!
Blessings and hugs,
Noreen

  2. Hi Noreen,
Sorry to hear you aren't feeling great.
Colds are no fun that is for sure.
Will be praying for that BP issue and
hoping it is just cause of the meds
you took. Went back and looked at all
your Kauai pics from this trip, all
beautiful, boy, that one of the sun
coming up was magnificient. There is
nothing like watching the sunrise over
the ocean. Brought back memories for me too. Those blow holes are so neat aren't they, and I remember seeing
    those birds too.
Hope you feel better soon, enjoy your lil grandons and your movie hon,
    Blessings, Nellie

  5. I honestly can't believe what good pictures you got in Hawaii. Just beautiful! Yes, cold medications definitely make your blood pressure go up so I usually can't take any. How I would love to be off my medication for this too. It makes me sleepy. Praying yours will pop right back to normal once your feeling better and off the cold meds. Enjoy your week-end Noreen!

  9. Such beautiful photos from your trip. A good memory on a cold rainy day here in CO.

We're both coming down with the cold that's going around. Bummer. I hope you're feeling better.

I think that the receptionist at my doc's office makes my BP skyrocket too! I hope that your returns to normal all by itself.
