Eye Candy

Have I told you enough how much I love Maine and all of New England in the Fall?  When my days get busy and I am in a rush, I can always day dream about New England. Hope you enjoy!

These pictures make me want to jump on a plane and head there; but the colors would possibly be past their peak by the time I arrived.  The thing is when you take photos of the incredible colors, they never turn out as vibrant as they are in person; at least this is what we found on the two trips that we made years ago.  Our last trip was for our 25 anniversary and was 14 years ago, so I'm thinking we may need to go back next fall to celebrate our 40th anniversary.  We'll see; I remember talking about having a small condo there so we could spend each autumn there, but somehow our ship never came in.
I'm off to my Fig Leaf(quilting) club today and then hope to get to the sewing room this afternoon~I am so behind in my projects.
Blessings~

  1. We love the autumn colors just as much as you do! They are not quite peak in our area yet but Northwest CT is.

  2. The leaves aren't as colorful as other years, because of the drought. :(

  4. Noreen, One year Ted and I went thru the New England states during this time....it is awesome with beautiful colors everywhere. We saw apple cider being made too. So many fond memories. But on our way thru Ohio to return to Indiana it snowed on us. Yes, around this very time. Too soon. I bet you are seeing more color there in Colorado too. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  5. So beautiful. Mom lived in New England for 37 years. She says we have pretty colors here in the Midwest but they pale next to the vibrant hues back East.

  6. So enjoyed your visit at my place! I agree with you about fall colors and how they lose a little in photos. Mine do too. I took out my sewing machine today too to repair my son-in-law's belt loops on his jeans. Haven't had a project like that in years!!!!

  7. Yes, New England is gorgeous! I never lived there, but both my parents were born there, and we spent every summer out there for several weeks when I was growing up. Then I got to visit my grandparents in the fall several times as an adult. It's beautiful country. But I have to say Michigan is showing some beautiful color right now, too!
