Hello September

It's a brand new month, but where in the world did August go?  Yesterday hubby got this shot over at the golf course; I love it.  I love that we live in an area so close to the Rockies and that we not only get to see wildlife when we venture up there, but bald eagles and hot air balloons.
I have been working really hard at walking and biking when the mornings weren't too hot; one thing I like to do is total up the miles I walk and ride each month-not for boasting, but to help gage my activity level.  Now I know a lot of you walk so much more than I do(my youngest daughter's family is one), so I like to see where I fall in.  Of course having Copper here for the last week kicked my walking up a notch-but my total for the month of August was 74 miles.  I'm very happy with that; I want to try to keep it up this month too.  Usually I'm good till the snow starts, but now our rec center will have an indoor track that the gals I walk with want to go to when we can walk here.  On Tuesday we had 6 ladies-ages 60-70+ that walked-pretty darn cool.
Hope you are able to get out and get some exercise.
Hugs,
Noreen

  1. Good for you! I really need to get back into the routine of walking. It was so miserably hot here that I haven't walked much this summer.

  2. You should keep a running total of your miles. It adds up quickly! We are hoping after today that we are done with the 90's until next year!

  3. Noreen, That's a great photo. I think you have done very well...74 miles in one month...especially as hot as August was. Keep up the good work. Wish I could walk like I used too. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  4. That is some great walking. Our Mom doesn't get to walk us so much in the winter either because she is afraid of falling. This winter she may join Dad's fitness center just so she can walk. It's good for her and US too:)
