A Different View

The other day I showed some pics of our front yard and here are two I took yesterday. As you can see, the walkway is clear now, but it give a better perception of just how deep the snow was. Actually I should have put a ruler in so you could really see how deep it is.

The black box is actually a winter cover or mini greenhouse for a Japanese Lacy Leaf Maple.  We found that by doing this last year, the tree was able to survive our winter.
Today is warmer than the last two have been; right now at 8:30 it is 30 degrees, downright balmy. It's a busy day today~shopping at Costco, watching two grands and trying to get some sewing in as well as finishing a book to review. I hope you get some sunshine in your area and have a productive day!

  1. I am AMAZED by the amount of snow y'all have had already this winter! I guess it's a great thing for the ski industry, isn't it? Hope you're staying warm and well!

  4. Hi Noreen! Wow, you really did get a lot of snow! Fortunately, all we got were buckets of rain. It's been pretty mild here, and I'm really glad. My dad fell on black ice last winter, and he really could have been badly hurt.
It's Super Bowl weekend! I are you a Bronco fan?
    Blessings,

  5. Hello Noreen! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and in answer to your question, Roxy my mil lives right next door to me. So I see her daily.
What fun to know you live in the same state. How awesome is that?! Roxy is such a wonderful mil, full of godly wisdom and love. We get along very well and I'm so glad we live next door. ☺
We didn't get near as much snow as the rest of the state. Mother nature sure is funny that way. Oh well...maybe the next storm will leave a bit more. Personally, I'm ready for Spring.
    Enjoy your weekend!
    Blessings, Amy

  7. This last storm was tough! I can see that you got a lot of snow down there too. We got about 2' and then we had high winds the next day, so we have drifts everywhere. I try to make the most of it (like watching my dogs be so happy in it) but I'm starting to dream of spring!

My husband will have a much more flexible schedule next year, and he just proposed a mid-February trip to the AZ or NM desert for 2017. Sounds great to me!!! Mid-Feb is around when I really need a break!

    Have a great weekend.
