During the winter months, my heart always thrills to see some of my favorite plants-cyclamen, daffodils, narcissus, tulips, just to name a few.  These beauties always remind me that spring is just around the corner, hopefully.  Last night hubby and I went to some friends for dinner and since she wouldn't let me bring a dish, I opted for this pretty plant.  Hopefully it  will warm her heart in the coming days, especially since our California friends are sending a storm our way.  By the time we were leaving the storm had moved in and the snow was falling.  By the time we left, the roads were covered as was our car and let me tell you that it was cold!  Today we woke up to clear, sunny skies with a temp. of 10 degrees and the white stuff covering everything.  I'm thankful that we have temps predicted for the 40's and 50's the next couple of days.
What thrills your heart during the cold dreary days of winter?
Hugs today, Noreen

Hi Noreen, thank you so much for stopping by my blog and introducing yourself! Most of my family is back in California. We go out there to visit when we can, but not as often as we'd like. Colorado is beautiful and we love living here too.

Hope you are staying warm!
Blessings,
Jessica

Good morning....yes, we have a little colder weather and rain, but not much. I did hear more was coming however. My azalea bush is blooming! Soo pretty. What warms my heart on a winters day? Smelling a nice warm pot of soup, a warm fire, a good book, or a call from a friend...Have a good day Noreen!!

What thrills me during these cold, snowy winter days, is knowing that my loved ones are safe, plus a huge pot of homemade soup,

Oh darlin', just the thought of the warm days of summer, my wonderful acre of flower gardens and an afternoon dip in the pool.

I truly should of been born a California girl.

I'm sure your plant warms your friends heart.

Have yourself and brightly blessed day sweetie!!! :o)

I love winter weather and snow but I admit I keep a close watch on my yard for the first sign of the daffodils and tulips. Each season is so special to me.

Bundling up under a quilt that I'm quilting, with a fire in the fireplace, with a pot of soup simmering on the stove, with my DH in the recliner next to mine ... that warms my heart.

Noreen, how's Reggie doing? If you could remember my Abby in your prayers, I'd appreciate it ... she's having an open tumor removed today. Pray that she'll go through surgery ok and that it's not cancer. Thanks, friend.
